We all need a staple Balsamic dressing in our pantry. I'm not a fan of store bought dressings, as they typically use a blend of vegetable oils and water instead of simply using a nice Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Making it yourself improves quality, saves you money, and allows you to get creative! I've been having fun using infused honeys, ciders and oils. This allows you to amp up the nutritional value of everyday foods while not sacrificing on flavor! My local CSA The Fields Edge, has been including salad greens in every box, so I started making this simple recipe every week. The Honey is from Cognitive Function and infused with Reishi Mushroom. Reishi is great for boosting the immune system, is packed with antioxidants, and helps relieve stress. The Flame Cider is also from Cognitive Function and is infused with Cordyceps Mushroom, which has adaptogenic qualities and helps support energy and vitality. It also has immune supporting herbs and roots including horseradish, garlic, turmeric, ginger, and rosemary.
Recipe:
1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 cup Balsamic Vinegar
2 tbsp. Cognitive Function Flame Cider
1 tbsp. Cognitive Function Reishi Honey
1 tbsp. Dijon Mustard
3 cloves Roasted Garlic
Salt/Pepper to taste
Add all ingredients to blender/nutribullet and blend until creamy. Use on salads, drizzle over grilled veggies, or use as a marinade!
